Appearance: Deep amber with a golden hue. Nose: Peaty smokiness complemented by touches of pomegranate juice, citrus, plums, and underlying sherry notes. Palate: Full and rich with dominant notes of fruitcake, sweet spices, sherry, and berries. The complex character is enhanced by salty smoke and burning embers. Finish: Long, full, and round with lingering smoky embers and a touch of sweetness.

Compass Box Whisky Company, founded in 2000 by John Glaser, is located along Great King Street in Edinburgh, Scotland. The company is celebrated for its innovative approach to whisky blending, earning the Whisky Magazine’s Innovator of the Year Award four times. Compass Box prides itself on creating contemporary blends that pay tribute to traditional methods.

The Glasgow Blend is composed of 67% malt whisky from Islay, Speyside, and Highlands regions, and 33% grain whisky from a Lowland distillery. The Islay malt, accounting for approximately 20% of the blend, comes from a distillery on the south shore of the island. This is combined with a fruity malt from the village of Brora and a rich, sherried Speyside malt from the Aberlour region, creating a harmonious and robust flavor profile.

The whiskies in Glasgow Blend mature in a combination of first-fill sherry casks, first-fill and refill ex-bourbon barrels, and new French oak casks. This meticulous blending and maturation process results in a whisky with a complex character, perfect for sipping neat or enjoying in a crafted cocktail.
